Illinois Elections 2010: Bill Brady Brings Newt Gingrich to Illinois

(Chicago, IL) — October 22, 2010. Illinois GOP governor candidate Bill Brady is bringing former US House Speaker Newt Gingrich to campaign in his behalf at a rally in downstate Collinsville today, from 1:30p.m. to 3:00p.m.

Gingrich, who served as Speaker of the United States House of Representatives from 1995 until being forced to quit 1999 after piling up electoral losses in the U.S. House, has been long-time right-wing lightening-rod.

Why Brady thinks hauling an odd-ball, divisive figure like Gingrich to moderate Illinois is unfathomable.
