(Chicago, IL) — January 05, 2011. Resolute Consulting, a national public affairs and strategic communications firm with offices in Chicago has hired Governor Pat Quinn‘s video-guru, Emmy award-winning producer Simon Edelman.

Edelman, who will join Resolute as its creative director, has racked-up a decade of experience in video and photography.

“The role of video in public affairs, issue campaigns and public outreach is a growing and essential component of strategic public relations,” said Resolute president Greg Goldner.  “Simon enhances the scope of services that we offer to our clients …”

Edelman, who served as Quinn’s creative director for his successful 2010 gubernatorial campaign, is known for an outrageously witty Glee-inspired television advertisement that quickly spiraled viral on the Web.

“Simon’s creativity, talent and hard work added immeasurably to the effectiveness of my campaign.  He is an exceptional person, and I respect him very highly.  I know that he will make a great contribution to Resolute and its clients,” said Quinn.

In addition to Quinn’s campaign, Edelman has edited programs for Discovery Health Channel, to producing at Comedy Central.

“I am pleased to join the team,” said Edelman.
