(Chicago, IL) – March 12, 2012. A new poll obtained by THE iLLINOIS OBSERVER reveals that among likely Democratic primary voters in Illinois’ 2nd Congressional District, Congressman Jesse Jackson, Jr. has solidified his support and is walloping ex-Congresswoman Debbie Halvorson by 36 percentage points.
Governor Pat Quinn, who was likely tipped to the poll results earlier, endorsed Jackson over the weekend.
Put a fork in it. A Halvorson comeback to Congress is unlikely.
Lake Research Partners conducted the poll of 406 likely Democratic voters between March 8-11, 2012.

This race should tighten up once it is revealed that Gov. Quinn endorsed Representative Jackson.. Does Jackson’s wife vote absentee or does she just vote at home in DC ?
