Former Ai Employee, and I believe I would like to participate in writing a book about my experience, inclusive of a few former colleagues that would also have vast input into this tell-all. Not woe-is-me stories, but factual stories of inequalities, racial discrimination, abuse of power, mistreatment, bad deeds going unpunished, illegal activities, false promises, undue stress, duress, unprofessionalism, fake credentials (allegedly), “rehearsals,” – etc. – Museum indeed!

Not a surprise, The Art Institute is always being sued for their mistreatment of employees and students, but with their vast financial resources their team of lawyers they usually walk away clean. In fact, they are currently being sued by the US Gov for 11 Billion in Fraud. Google Fraud and EDMC the parent company of all the Art Institute.

This is the tip of the iceberg. The Art Institute is a very abusive employer. Anyone who would like to write a book on the corporation behind the public facade, and could tap into the wealth of ex-employees with stories to tell, would have a best-seller that would have the public holding its nose when it passed the museum.

I have a very open mind and have researched all information availlable to me. Not all sex offender re-offend.. In Iowa sex offenders can live within 2500 ft of school, parks, or daycares.. etc. but let look at the reality of these so called rules. Are they really protecting our children? NO because it says the cant “live:” not can walk past, stand by, or just look accorss the street. we need to offer treatment. Also do the law or law makers think by taking family from these offenders are causeing them to be better people. Like DAN above said, Sex offenders are people too, Many learna nd just want to live a normal life and move on , but can because we have simple minded peole who thinks they all need to live under bridges. Really i would like to know hom may of you would consider yoursselves a child of GOD ???? i hoe none,because GOD forgives all and everone deserves a second chance. BTW im not a sex offender, just believe in the allmighty GOD and know what the bible tell me to LOVE all and JUDGE none..

I think that the most important thing is the budgeting side. May it be in the side of government issues, householf and even time should be budgeted accourdingly. “Chicago Tonight” reported last week that the mayor has been meeting individually and behind closed doors with the council members who were in open opposition, and that one by one they have been withdrawing, claiming now to be satisfied with the shape of the measure. Often these statements are being made on their behalf through the mayor’s office. Michele Smith, for example: now on board.

Yes, this method will help the mayor get his way. But it’s an unduly cynical route to take, and it perpetuates the cynicism habitual with Chicagoans. Why? The individual council members who have “solved their problem” by reaching a private understanding with the mayor now appear to their constituents as sullied and compromised. Meanwhile, the questions and concerns of citizens have not been publicly acknowledged as valid; they’ve been treated dismissively, as something inconvenient, trivial, and in the way. The “punishment” for the openly dissenting council members is a loss of integrity and prestige. So who will dare to dissent next time?

The only thing that matters in all this is that the mayor get his way, and without delay. The council has been treated with absolute condescension, and so too by extension have all the constituents they represent. If the mayor’s measure is sound, why is he so fearful of dissent or of arriving at modifications to the bill through a more open and consensual process?
