(Chicago, IL) – March 24, 2012. The March 20, 2012 Illinois primary generated a flood of election news and a gusher of new visitors to THE iLLINOIS OBSERVER.
In the four days on and around election day brought 5,062 visitors to our doors. These folks rummaged through various election features, including our targeted campaign coverage; our first-ever election endorsements for all contested Illinois General Assembly seats; our the top 10, bottom 10 among Chicago Democratic and GOP committeemen report; and our early election results. They were all big hits.
Heck, we even covered the Chicago Green Party committeemen election.
Those 5,062 visitors represented an increase of just over 3,000 from the typical 2,000 political junkies we would have seen during a typical four-day period.
We want to thank everyone–from our regular readers to new friends–who stopped by our news shop to browse.
