(Springfield, IL) — April 30, 2010. Could someone get Jason Plummer, the 27-year old GOP candidate for Lt. Governor a proofreader?
Here’s what’s posted on this Facebook page today:
The Rasmussen Reports survey once again proves that the people of Illinois are ready for a clean break from the politics of the past. Let’s not take these numbers for granted and continue to pull in the lead…with your help there is no doubt we can’t defeat Quinn/Simon in November!
I’m sure Pat Quinn and Sheila Simon hope the same.
UPDATE: 8:47 p.m.
The Plummer proofreader has now updated his Facebook page.
“… [W]ith your help there is no doubt we can defeat Quinn/Simon in November!”
Better.
Picky, picky, picky. What is an apostrophe between friends? At least he did not hold a knife to any hookers or make loans to mobsters after taking out a few bucks for the great job you are doing.

The absence of a knife pointed on a prostitute’s throat would not be, hopefully, the standard by which one measures the qualifications of the Illinois Lt. Governor. A pretty low bar.

Posted by Jim Sather | April 30, 2010, 7:43 PMIllinois has had three great Lt. Governors in my adulthood: Paul Simon, Neil Hartigan and Bob Kustra, and frankly, Goerge Ryan wasn’t a slouch either in that office.
