(Washington, D.C.) — May 19, 2010. Rick Bayless maybe a Chicago superstar chef who injects zing and spice into the food prepared at his Frontera Grill and Topolobampo restaurants at 445 N. Clark Street , but he tweets inanity like a 12-year old school girl, and thankfully the Obama White House has shut him down his goofy tweets for the duration of his state sinner gig for Mexico’s President Felipe Calderón, the Chicago Sun-Times‘ Lynn Sweet reports.
Here’s a tasting menu of Bayless “gee wiz” insights:
- “Thanks 2 the 100s of well wishers! Ready 4 day 2 n rather small White House kitchen. Chef was challenged by some ingred, but last arrive 2day.”
- “Just arrived in DC. Headed to the White House kitchens. I have to say: I’m a little nervous.”
- “The White House staff could not be nicer&more professional! Most worried about ingredients, but all will b here 4 big day!”
Oh! Really! Rick! Tell us more!
Hopefully, Bayless’ prepares his mole with more zip, care, and thoughtfulness than he, er, writes.
